Courtney and Darcy - March 22, 2013

Courtney was a very organized, determined bride and we set out to build her a spectacular "cake." As the centerpiece of the room at her beautiful cocktail-style wedding at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens restaurant, she wanted height and wow-factor. She wanted soft, romantic and vintage so we used satin, twine and roses to meet the theme. In the end, she said it was the best cake she has ever seen and was quite pleased so in turn, we were as well!

From top, Roses, Blue Cheese, Goats Milk Cheese, 2 x Brie, Pillars with Grapes, Walnuts, Dried Apricots, Pears and Gypsophila, Smoked Cheddar

J's Christmas Surprise - Dec 24th, 2012

A friend came to us to help her surprise her in-laws for their Christmas lunch. As an avid blue cheese lover, J strictly instructed us to include a large wheel of blue! The bottom is Bluemellow, topped with vintage cheddar, camembert and Merry Xmas bunting. While we are sure the family enjoyed it, they may have only gotten to the top two layers as it difficult to get a bite of blue in with J around!

First Wedding Cheese Cake - Chris and Jasmin, November 24th, 2012

Our first cake! Jasmin wanted cheese for her "after party" and she let us use her wedding as an opportunity to make our first cheese wedding cake. The wedding theme was classic black and white, and the reception was held in an intimate backyard setting. The layers are (from bottom) provolone, two brie wheels, vintage cheddar (covered in dyed fondant), camembert and smoked cheddar. Since this cake was for the after party, it was brought out around midnight and was nearly demolished after a short period of time!
